Yeah, I wasn't actually going to give it out as Halloween candy. If I did that, I'd be lucky to only be arrested. I'm thinking more of "guy shows up with shotgun two days later for making his little girl cry ... and start looking for dead raccoons."

As far as putting it in the fridge, that would sort of defeat the purpose. I want to see them when they try it because it's so awful. And if I just stand around the fridge waiting for someone to take it, I'm pretty sure that would tip them off.

Oh, I understand the idea that he was assuming art (i.e. non-math/science/engineering) majors in the class. But he was talking about 6-8 hours on average. So the art majors would be on the far right end of the bell curve and not in the middle. Test just seemed to not live up to the hype.

dude, you are good at math compared to other math majors who do math for a living. The teacher assumed art majors might be in the class. If don't finish in 25% of them with a perfect score it's a moral failure.

Nope, company reimbursement. So long as I get a B, I get my money back. The college even has a deferment option that allows you to pay at the end of the class instead of the beginning.

I do like to bitch about stuff. Man's gotta have hobbies.

I only took one class this time - and a gimmie at that - because I've been out of school for ten years. I wanted to get back in the swing of things. Going to class, doing homework every week, writing papers, working with groups that have to meet up somewhere, taking tests - the whole ball of wax. So for the first time out of the gate I figured I'd take a class I know well so that I can get used to being back in school. I may double up next semester or not. I don't have a real detailed plan yet. Probably depend on what class I sign up for next time.

I should get some t-shirts made up "Nobody Uses The Fucking Mode." Put some math-y symbols on there. Sell 'em fifteen bucks a pop at conferences and the like.
